The long waited option of gathers at the waist for the back bodices is now available at Sewist!
We also threw in gathers for the front on wrap dresses, while we were at it :)
A sample design with gathers at skirt and at waist - to achieve the same fitted effect just add an elastic band to the waist seam from the other side:
