Dolls come in every shape and size, and sewing for them should be as creative as sewing for people. That’s why we developed a pattern drafting system that works across different dolls, using real measurements and a unique parametric drafting method. Instead of starting from scratch each time, you can draft a pattern that adapts to your doll’s body right away. Our 2D/3D geometric projection approach adapts to a wide range of body types, including curvy, swayback, petite, inhuman, and beyond.

We do all of our testing on dolls kept in our studio collection. Each one is carefully measured, with its proportions recorded and saved into our system. This way, whenever we adjust our drafting algorithms—even slightly—we can re-run tests across a wide range of figures: child, tween, adult, S-curve spines, loose ‘potato-sack’ torsos, rounded backs, or well-endowed forms.

For ease of reference, we give our studio dolls simple nicknames - Mona, Bella, Agata, and others. These are internal labels only, used to identify size profiles within our system. They do not replace or compete with the dolls’ official brand names, but simply make it easier for us (and you) to identify which of our size profiles matches your doll best.

What we provide are independent, hands-on measurements we’ve made ourselves. If your doll is similar in build, you can use these measurements as a reliable starting point for sewing patterns. If it is not, you can always take measurements following this guide and get a truly made-to-measure fit.

By compiling this gallery of test characters, we make it easier to match your doll with an existing size profile and create clothes that fit. This system opens the door to custom, well-fitted designs across an entire spectrum of dolls, without guesswork or repeated trial-and-error.
