Maxaloones

I found myself adapting the pattern to fit my grand daughter. The larger pair in the photo has been put away until she has grown a little more. The smaller size (miniloone) was a little too snug a fit. I adapted this pattern by adding a total of one inch to the width and two inches to the length of each leg. I also added a further two inches into the length from crotch to waist, whilst adding an extra inch to the back, shaping this to meet the front at the side seam. The original patterns for the leg and waist cuffs were not changed. This adaptation fitted my grand daughter beautifully and will mean that she can wear these trousers for some months instead of only a short time. Hopefully they will last for the majority of the cold weather this winter and spring.

I bought the fabric from fabworks.co.uk. They give very prompt service and the quality of the fabric bought (cotton interlock jersey) was very good and much cheaper than I had expected.
