Culottes

I've made this pattern before, but made a rather stupid mistake with cutting out this version. I cut it out without the seam allowance, completely forgetting that it needs to be added with these Burda magazine patterns! What should have turned into a major disaster was saved by the fact that there is a large dart on the back of each leg and a deep pleat on the front of each leg......... after a little fiddling around the culottes fit, but I still need to finalise the position of the front pleat.

I'm using a remnant of soft grey suiting which I had in my stash. Only just enough fabric left to complete these.

Ever felt so daft for making such a silly mistake?

Resizing the back dart and slightly altering the front pleat worked really well. The culottes fit and are very comfortable to wear.
