| Заметки | Pattern - Kwiksew 2900 "Misses' shirts". This is designed for stretch knits and continues my current absorption with jersey type fabrics. I shall be using my overlocker for this project too. Two different colours using cotton interlock jersey. I plan to wear these under my latest pinafore dress - the Zoe. I just don't have sufficient tops to go underneath it at the moment. 20th December - wearing the green top today with a knitted top and grey skirt which I made in previous months. Useful notes - the blue is as pattern. I found this slightly too roomy and felt the neck was rather short for my personal taste. So, for the green one, I used a half inch seam allowance rather than the quarter inch used in the pattern. I also doubled the height of the neck which makes it the perfect size for me. Yes, I could have gone down a size, but this has worked really well and I like the length of the sleeves - covering my wrists. Will definitely be using this pattern again. Pattern asks for 1.5m, I had to buy 2m online, so may have sufficient for another top. May have to be one of the short sleeved designs. |
