| Annotazioni | This polo neck uses the remains of the fabric used for the last blue polo neck made using the Kwik Sew pattern. Having worn both of those particular polo necks over the past few days, I really can't help feeling that they are both just too baggy. This time I have drafted a pattern based on a round necked jersey top bought a couple of years ago from Lidl. The brand name on these is Esmara and I bought a few when they were available. My main problem with these being that the round neck is really very low at the front. I tend to wear them with a vest or camisole underneath. The basic shape fits well, so I have adapted this to have a tall polo neck. I used the Kwik Sew polo neck pattern but increased this in size so that it is now 2 and a half times taller. It will interesting to see if this works out. I've had to piece the sleeves and the back since there really wasn't quite enough fabric. It should be good enough to wear underneath something like a pinafore dress. In the end I made two - they have worked out better than I thought they would and have been worn quite a few times since being completed. I am wearing the turquoise one as I write this. |
