Annotazioni A very simple and cheap make.
Requires 1 metre fleece and 2 metres of cheap wadding - preferably a polyester type.

Method - fold the fleece in half widthwise and sew down the selvedges with the right sides together. This will make a rectangular piece half a metre deep and approximately a metre or so wide. The whole of the width of the fabric is left open to make it easy to introduce the wadding into the middle. turn the fleece right sides out. The fleece is now looking like a large pocket.
The wadding should also be folded to fit. Quite often this will mean folding it into quarters. Do not cut the wadding, but push this into the fleece pocket.
Note: If the fleece has been purchased in two single metre sections,  stitch these together using a herringbone or cross stitch before folding. This will stop the pieces moving around inside the fleece pocket. For Sasha's bed I did this before folding the wadding into thirds, trapping the stitched join between the ends.

The completed dog bed is then stitched together. I have found this bed to be easily washed in a washing machine and have put Ella's bed through the tumble dryer. You may like to stitch through all layers at a few points to ensure that the wadding does not move within the fleece when it is washed. I have found it can be easily straightened out again if this does happen. However, a few stitches should avoid this problem altogether.

Both my dogs love their new beds. They have both tried out each other's beds too. Certainly approved my my canine friends.

Do let me know if you have any questions.
