Notes | This is the first stage of a project inspired by a blogpost by Maria Denmark "Wardrobe Sewing 2017". You can find the blogpost here: I will be using the jersey top pattern I have already drawn up based on some tops I already own and like wearing. 23rd February - I have now finished this stage of my project, sewing one vest and three polo neck tops. I was really pleased that I had used the purchased top as a pattern since the resulting tops are all nicely fitted and are lovely to wear. I have made certain changes to the design - adding a little length to the sleeves most notably. I was especially pleased with the stripe matching on the grey striped top. I must own up to not being so pleased with the neckline of the vest. I had forgotten to slightly stretch the fabric to make for a snug fit. Lesson learnt. |
