| Notes | This challenge came about due to a surplus of packs of twenty five inch square quilting cotton pieces put together for the recent Pinfold exhibition. These were being sold to raise funds. It was decided to use these as the basis for a challenge for group members. I claimed two of these packs and intend to make two rather different items. The first of these is a quilted cushion cover. I've used the challenge fabrics for the cushion cover centre and also for the outer piping, the rest is stash fabric. The back is buttoned since I had some rather pretty buttons in my collection and no project in mind for them. I really shouldn't buy pretty buttons just because I like them......... The second, a drum shaped tub. This will probably used as a project bin or some such. Unfinished at the time of writing (7th April). It needs a lining, a stiff support layer and a base. Quite a lot of work still to go. 9th May - the drum bin is finally completed. Probably a new home for bits and pieces I am working on. Finished only just in time since I have to show my challenge pieces tomorrow! |
