Заметки Pattern drafted from Making Working Women's Costume by Elizabeth Friendship.

Fabric 2.5 yards  green organic yarn dyed linen in "lake" colorway from Folkwear patterns.

Again, no assembly instructions. I think the intention was to have the maker sew the skirt gussets on and then then sew the side seams all the way up and pleat the waist down to size. I however wanted a skirt I could wear my pockets under so I left an 11 inch split at the top of each side seam to allow access to the pockets.

Since I left the front and back separate I pleated the front waist at each end and sewed it to a cotton twill tape, leaving 20 inches of tape at each end.

For the back of the skirt I did a box pleat at center back and then pleated out from both sides to size and then managed the waist in the same way as the front.

The skirt is worn by stepping in, and then tying the strings from the back of the skirt around the front of your body and then tying the strings from the front of the skirt around the back of your body and tucking them into the waist of the back of the skirt. The slits in the sides give you access to your pockets. :)
